Exciting news from Bee Hive Taylor Ranch; "we are all movie stars". Last week was an exciting time for all the residents and staff, as 
Channel 4 News station came out to shoot a story for the TV Show "Good Day New Mexico". This story will air sometime in March. We will be sure to let all our family members know the date and time. Residents were filmed doing daily activities like, exercise and games. Several resident bed rooms were filmed during the shot. Residents informed me they felt proud to call Bee Hive their home and said they were glad we wanted them to be a big part of this story. Even Miss Peppie made her debut.

Bee Hive Homes is the newest assisted-living facility in Santa Fe. Like Santa Fe, Bee Hive Homes is a unique place to live. The company got its start in 1987 when Twayne Walker, company founder and a builder by trade, couldn't find an acceptable place for his elderly mother to live. Her needs had surpassed his ability to care for her. At that time, many assisted-living facilities did not provide a pleasant atmosphere where residents could live happily. During the construction phase of Walker's first assisted-living home, there was so much interest shown by potential residents that many of them were ready to move in as soon as it was completed.
Almost 25 years after the first home was built, Bee Hive Homes now has facilities in twelve states. "We provide the comforts of home, with loving caregivers, home-cooked meals, and facilities designed to expand the independence of our residents. You can feel peace of mind with your mother or father or other family member in a Bee Hive Home, knowing they are comfortable and well cared for. We encourage family participation and often get to know our residents' families and friends almost as well as our own," said Jay Manning, owner and sub-franchisor of homes throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.
A Bee Hive Home is a planned environment, allowing for ten to twenty residents to enjoy a quality of lifestyle with group association, yet still offering the utmost in privacy with individual bedrooms and at least a half bath. Most importantly, Bee Hive Homes offers 24-hour supervision with exceptional staff members, trained in quality geriatric care, but committed to a home and family environment. "Our residents deserve to feel important and valued so we provide activities that help them to thrive and enjoy life such as exercise and yoga, art classes, musical events, annual parties and picnics. 64th Wedding Anniversay @ Beehive Village
We had a wonderful celebration with Steve and Marny Cooper who celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary this past week at the Beehive Village in Albuquerque. What an awesome event to be a part of. Angel, the administrator at this location, cooked them a gourmet meal which they enjoyed together in a romantic atmosphere. We want to congratulate Steve and Marny on this momentous occasion.They also enjoyed lunch with family and celebrated with an anniversary cake.
